The Linn County Sheriff's Office and Linn County Jail are located at 1115 Jackson St. SE, Albany, OR 97322. The sheriff's non-emergency number is 541-967-3950 and is stated to operate 24 hours a day. The jail line is 541-967-3901. Main-office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays.

For sheriff-held records, use the Linn County Sheriff's Office Records Request form. A written request may also be delivered or mailed to the Jackson Street address, faxed to 541-967-8169, or emailed to Records_Reports@linnsheriff.org. The published schedule includes $12 for the first 25 pages, $0.25 for each additional page, and $10 for a booking sheet. Processing time is not fixed, and record or photo release remains subject to review under Oregon law.

Route the question by record type

  • Current Linn County Jail custody: use the Current Adults in Custody roster. It is a current-holding tool, not a released-person archive, and the sheriff has not published roster booking photos since January 1, 2022.
  • Sheriff booking sheet or other sheriff-held record: submit the written request through the sheriff records route above. The office, rather than this site, decides what can be released.
  • Court case or disposition: use the Linn County Circuit Court records page. The court is at 300 SW Fourth Ave., Albany, OR 97321, phone 541-967-3845, with listed hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Oregon state custody: use the Oregon Department of Corrections offender search. It serves a different system than the county's live jail roster.
  • Federal custody: check the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator for the federal system.
  • Release notification: enroll through VISOR, Oregon's custody-status and notification service, rather than relying on a roster search alone.
